Challenged!

Last Sunday the walkers were given maps to follow as there was no point in laying a trail when a washout was likely. There were a few moans and groans from the navigationally challenged, as they wrestled with the maps....

Payback then offered his services as a live hare to quell the confusion. This worked out well, until a few souls got lost due to trail tampering by persons unknown. This brought to mind the first run laid by Gastrick and Miss Fit at Bardon, where there was some major trail tampering.

The trail ran through the older parts of Gaythorne and up to the newer part of Mitchelton, where we passed some interesting homes with magnificent views to Moreton Bay. On the way back, Cash Converta pointed out that she used play in Sid Loder Park when she was a youngster. That was a long time ago!

Afterwards, we had a good old Aussie barbecue with lashings of snags, onions and coleslaw. Goodonyer, hares!
