Samford Hash walks and runs come rain, hail or shine. So - having decided on a down, down for anyone struck by lightning, and ignoring the thunder rumbling overhead, we set off in a downpour that continued all the way round the trail. Floater's pictures of the walkers tell the story.
Starting out:
Ducks in a row:
Luckily our feet didn't get wet:
Le W*nk was very concerned about the fact that George and a couple of young people who'd taken him in charge were late getting back. "Where's my dog?" he wailed. "What about the kids?" "Forget the kids! Where's George?"
Back at the hares' place we gratefully borrowed some dry shirts and enjoyed some delicious curry and trifle. We were honoured by a visit from a self-described very stable genius.
A notable happening this last week: Floater was attacked and bitten by a cranky moulting python in the darkness of her garage. (She says the tetanus shot was more painful than the bite.)
And Haughty made a return from waving the Samford Hash flag in the Natal Drakensberg.
Next Sunday, by request of the hares', we'll be kicking off at 4:30 pm. Please don't forget!!!! 4:30 pm!
