Welcome home!

This last Sunday saw Superhacker and Hopalong make their long-anticipated and very welcome return to us! They also brought along Malpractice and B-Flat, which was an added bonus. And how good it was to see Superhacker looking so well after her extended sojourn in the Old Country! Miss Demeanour had practised her signwriting skills and after a lot of effort (it was much harder than herding cats) Topless managed to get us lined up for this photographic record of the event:

Soon after this, the sun came crashing to earth behind the D'Aguilar Range and pitch darkness descended. It was so dark you couldn't see your hand in front of your face (or behind it, for that matter.) But we tucked in - under some feeble lantern light - and even celebrated Nipliquor and Hopalong's birthdays with a cake and a lemonade down, down. Lemonade in your hair must be very sticky....

Our hares had earlier taken us on a traditional scenic twilight tour of the lake shore...in which we were joined by Shaggy and Cadbury (back from WA) and a couple of young visitors from Leeds. Culture accompanied one very young hasher on a shorter excursion:
