Wide skies

Constable clouds sailed majestically over the brilliant green rolling hills of Highvale as the reception party waited at the top of the drive:

The outlooks towards the surrounding hills - and the weather - made for a very scenic late afternoon jog and stroll around the neighbourhood, and the promised showers kept off:

There were no stairs this week, and no mud either! Cash Converta thought she heard a baby call out from these bulrushes, but she wasn't going to get her feet wet to investigate:

Back at the hares', there seemed to be plenty to natter on about before we tucked in to one of Saucy Sous' magnificent feasts:

Many, many thanks to our hares for the trail, for their hospitality around the pool, and for an incredible meal! Good onya! (And thanks also to Snappy for the pics, and to our creative and reliable Beermeisters and Winos....)

In the circle we had to open the can of worms that is our response to the impending relaxation of Queensland's border restrictions and the inevitable surge in Covid-19 cases that will follow. We've grown used to the virus being kept under control without us having to do anything personally, but the situation is predicted to be very different in future. The general opinion of all those who spoke up (some quite passionately) was that in order for us to keep meeting as we have done recently, everyone who turns up will need to have been vaccinated. There seemed to be little support for going back to the sorts of behaviours we would need to follow in order to accommodate any individuals who choose not to get vaccinated (mask-wearing, BYO food and drink, etc.)

We meet next Friday for our Christmas party in Dayboro. There'll be camping available in the back paddock and more accommodation available indoors, so there's no reason to avoid the notorious shots that some people got into at our last Dayboro party! We'll be dressed in Christmas colours, or as Christmas characters - and our Secret Santa gifts will feature no ointments of any kind...okay?
