Revelry and recovery

Friday night was a huge one for everyone - although these two really well-dressed elves didn't look all that huge as they flanked Mile High Santa!

So much food, so much drink, so much conversation....What a great party! Many, many thanks to our hosts Banger and Make an Offer! The following pics are courtesy - mainly - of Snappy (who took over 150 photos on the evening - wow!) Perhaps they'll help remind you of the evening....How does it go? If you can remember it you weren't really there?

Conditions were very pleasant for the traditional potluck recovery run that followed on Sunday. The walkers took on a gentle circuit around the Avenue of Honour, while the runners added a little trip up part of the range and a return via Burton Lane...that's pretty clear, isn't it? Here are some images from the walk and run, with everyone looking remarkably spry, all things considered....

As usual, Potluck served up a magnificent and varied feast. Thanks to all for their contributions!

The sad part of the circle was our farewell to Shaggy and Cadbury, who were leaving for their new home up the coast two days later. If they can't find a suitable Hash in their new location they plan to start their own. And a number of us may be paying them a visit at some time. This was their final down, down - at least for the moment:

Finally, in other news this week Gunther took out the prize for having the waggiest tail at his Golden Retriever Christmas party! Well done, old fella!
