Hare on a bike

Hail and 45 mm of rain had fallen in Mitchy an hour or so before we set out - so the trail was set by a live hare on a bike. He took us on a Kedron Brook circuit, with some interesting additions for the runners.

Found the bike, but where's the trail?

Back home with muddy feet, we feasted on some home-cooked delights, including hand-whisked pavlova and lemon meringue pie. Many thanks to our hares!

Why bother when Coles makes such a good one?

This is what it means to be a family Hash: we have young members, and even younger members, and even younger ones:

Our hash caravaners are (mostly) back in town after stopping off at Fick's Crossing:

And courtesy of Miss Demeanour, here are some stunningly scenic shots from last week's excursion around the UQ campus:

At the circle we settled on a date for our Hash Christmas party: it will be on Saturday 19th December at Trudi Fruti and B&W's Jolly's Lookout home. You can find some memories of the last time we partied at this location here. More details will follow....

And at next week's run/walk we'll take the opportunity to do a Halloween dress-up - so please, leave off your make-up and come as the scary real you. To the purists who say it's a day late we say Fooey - it'll still be the 31st October in some parts of the world! You'll find reminders of some of our previous terrifying encounters with ghosts and ghoulies, witches and weirdos here and here. And remember - we move to a 5 pm start time from this run!

Next run details

When: Sunday 1st November, 5 pm - remember, 5 pm!
