"Believe me, my young friend,

there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half as much worth doing as simply messing about in boats."

Sinbad and Junky persuaded at least a couple of hashers of the truth of what the Water Rat* had to say as we enjoyed the wonderful views and the very comfortable facilities at the LSWA clubhouse - it appears there will be some new applications for club membership coming from the members of Samford Hash!

We have now seen Lake Samsonvale both in drought and brimming, and have previously walked and run on both the Forgan Cove/Bullocky's Rest end and the Gold's Scrub end. But our hares this Sunday introduced us to an entirely new and very scenic section of the foreshore. A taxing logistical exercise had the runners start from the water and the walkers (and cyclists) from the Winn Road gate, but it worked out well. The sumptuous nosh included some triffic apple crumble - well done, hares! It's not easy catering for 32 hungry hashers....
