P*ssed on/p*ssed off

[The text for this week's post has been penned by a dripping Payback. Photos are all by Saucy Sous.]

Gunther, as enthusiastic as ever, greeted Payback with a golden shower on his shoe. Payback was pissed off.

During the pre-run banter, Shockjock recounted the flooding history of the area and the mitigation measures taken.

After much yawning, we finally set off into the hot and steamy afternoon. As we approached the mighty Brisbane River we reveled in the cooling river breeze.  We headed along the Coronation Drive bikeway toward the Grey Street bridge and marveled at the ever changing city skyline.

Shockjock and Miss Demeanour provided an Australia day feast which started off with an entree of vegemite sandwiches. We then progressed to meat pies and some green stuff. And continuing the Australia day theme, we finished off with some tasty lamingtons. What a great Australia day feast!

The obligatory thong throwing contest followed. Dumbbell won this event with a huge record breaking toss. The hashing spectators were awestruck by his athletic prowess, with some shouting 'what a tosser'.

Thanks to our hares for an entertaining afternoon.

[And thanks to Payback and Saucy Sous. It's the Dayboro Beer Mile this Friday!]
