Get back to where you once belonged

The walkers found a turtle who'd decided to leave home and seek its fortune this last Sunday and (no doubt to its annoyance) insisted on returning it to the lake it had come from. Get back, Jojo...

The rain that had fallen earlier in the day had cleared and there was really no need for umbrellas... though it's been such a dry year, we'd have been happy if it had kept on pouring. There were no signs of any chalk or flour but the route around the lakes was pretty straightforward for everyone except turtles. For the runners it was a short and flat outing, though certainly scenic. We'll need to put in considerably more training before heading to NZ in March....

Here are some shots from the walk, courtesy of Snappy, Cash Converta and Culture:

Back at the hares' we enjoyed a substantial and tasty meal. Here are some more pics from the occasion:

Down, downs were awarded to Leave Pass, who has just spent 50 years in Oz - and to a couple who had forgotten to bring along the Hash cutlery and crockery:

Many, many thanks to our hares!

Next run/walk details

Hares: Haughty will set the trail, insofar as it needs to be set. Potluck will cater (please bring something to share)

PLEASE BRING CHAIRS - and it would be a good idea to bring torches as well, to help you back to your cars after enjoying sunset over the lake.
