North-er - South-er - West-er - Easter

It's the preeminent weekend of the year for people to scatter to all points of the compass, so it's always hard to predict how many to eggspect on Easter Sunday. In the end we counted 5 walkers, 2 runners and 4 laggards who just turned up to join us at the pub (it's only fair to note that these were suffering from a number of ailments). It was a brilliant afternoon for a walk or run around the village circuit - sunny and clear, but quite autumnal, with the first westerlies of the season lending a crisp coolth to the air. Here are some of Snappy's shots from the walk:

We felt desperately sorry for the owners of the pub, who had so much to complain about during Covid restrictions, so we were overjoyed to pay an extra 15% on drinks and meals to celebrate Easter - we'd really have liked to pay more. And we sang Happy Birthday to a young man who had just turned 17. It's far more common for us to be celebrating 70th birthdays at the moment....

Meanwhile, other members of the Hash have been North-er, West-er, South-er than the stay-at-homes this East-er. Here are some shots from these different directions:
