Last of the summer runs 2023

We might have guessed from Upstanding's inexhaustible stock of jokes that his birthday falls on April 1st - he was born to be a joker. And we were honoured to be invited to celebrate his Big One on Sunday. Moreover (since we're cheapskates at heart) we were delighted to find that he'd supplied an esky of free beer and bubbles alongside the Hash ones....Payback officially inducted him into the Old Farts' Club with a presentation of the appropriate beverage:

Our hares took us on a varied and interesting sortie through the leafy byways of Wilston, past the classy latte joints of Wilston Village, the mangroves of Enoggera Creek, and a spanking new microbrewery. Here are some of Snappy's shots of the gathering and the walk:

Back home at the hares' we enjoyed a birthday feast which included a kombi cake (without an awning - who needs an awning?) Many thanks to Upstanding and Idle Vice!

A number of our members are going away this week for an extended Hash camping trip. Bon voyage to them! And for those of us who remain...a reminder that from next Sunday we'll be moving to a 4 pm start time!

When: Sunday 9th April at 4 pm (Easter Egg run)

Where: John Scott Park, Samford Village

Hares: M. Promptu will set the trail. Drinks and food thereafter at the Samford Pub (there will be no Hash eskys this week)
