Stop and smell the roses

At this time of year the Gallipoli Centenary roses along the Avenue of Honour are in full bloom, and the walkers paused to enjoy the fragrance. Due to various absences and concatenations of events there was only one runner this week (shame, shame) and Le W*nk was obviously traveling way too fast to catch the whiff.








Back at our long term home base at John Scott Park, Potluck (as usual) over-catered enormously. Upstanding and Leave Pass competed in a joke-off, which ended with honours even. Of course, no-one mentioned the All Black - South Africa game which - shall we say? - did not end in a draw....



Our Hash travelers have sent some pics from Milmerran, where they joined the inhabitants of 1200 other caravans for the Camp Oven Festival...and came across this fella:

And this coming Sunday sees our annual jacaranda meet at St. Lucia. Le W*nk has told Snappy that she's allowed only 250 jacaranda photos in next week's post!

Next run/walk details

When: Sunday 10th October, 4 pm (Note: We'll move to a 5 pm start as usual for our Halloween run, so fairly soon.)

Where: University of Queensland Recreation Precinct Playground, Sir William MacGregor Drive, St Lucia. A map! (Note that parking is usually at a premium in this area, so you're advised to arrive early and be prepared to walk to the start.)
