The story goes that when Tom Petrie selected the property he called Murrumba, he did so with the help and support of his aboriginal friend and local elder Dalaipi. The land was chosen because it seemed good country on which to run cattle - which it no doubt was. Our hares this last Sunday demonstrated that it is also good country on which to run (and walk) humans and canines. Of course when you go round in a circuit in the area there are going to be as many Murrumba Ups as Murrumba Downs on the route....
Back home at the hares', we were treated to an Italian feast - which included vegetarian and dairy-free options, and was finished off with a gelato course! Many, many thanks to Budgie and Miss Behavin' for the run/walk and yummy meal!
Culture took the opportunity to remind us of the upcoming SPADEwerx production:
A number of hashers are away at the moment (including the Beermeisters), so we're opting for something simple for next weekend....
Next run/walk details
When: Sunday 3rd October, 4 pm
Where: John Scott Park, Samford Village
Hares: Le Wank has offered to set a trail (if he gets round to it). Catering will be by Potluck - please bring something to share. And since the Beermeisters and W(h)iners are in doubt, please BYO drinks as well!
On, on!
