Scratchit and Floater took us into the wilds of Bunyaville this last Sunday for the first time in quite a while. As always, there was plenty of geology on show along the flat, smooth tracks, and anyone who wanted to make a geological collection had only to stoop a bit to pick up lots of samples. Some of the walkers improvised walking poles, while the runners seemed somehow to get tangled up with someone else's trail...but the group met up in a pretty well-organised way as we headed for home.
Back at the park, the proud owner of a new Jaguar offered joy-rides that included a fair simulation of what it feels like to be catapulted off the deck of an aircraft carrier....Floater served up a magnificent and varied spread, and there wasn't much left over....
Many thanks to our bush-bashing hares!
Here's a shot of a joyful Wallabies supporter after a most unusual event on Saturday - two wins in a row! It almost seems worthwhile burning down the house in celebration!
Other news this week is that Shockjock's knee operation went really well. We hope to see him back on the trail soon!
The date for the 2021 Hash Christmas party was debated in the circle...and here's the date claimer (fanfare, please). It will be on Friday December 10th - mark your diaries and calenders now! And Banger and Make an Offer have once again generously offered their Dayboro hilltop as a venue - many thanks, guys! You'll find a reminder of our last Christmas party at this location here. One suggestion for a theme was "Pirates of the Curried Beans" (I think). Why not?
Finally, the next SPADEwerx production is coming up soon, featuring a number of hashers in some hilarious roles. Come and see Shockjock as a drunk! Culture urged people to buy tickets as soon as possible, as audience numbers per performance are Covid-limited.
