It was a brilliant afternoon beside the sparkling waters of the Pine River this Sunday when our hares took us along an unfamiliar and varied route through the bush and burbs lining the northern bank. It included a really interesting circuit around a mangrove boardwalk, where the runners' interest was engaged by some vigorous Supplejack. The trail was extremely well marked - although that didn't prevent a couple of people having to be rescued from a long way away from home....
It was great to see so many people running! Here's a shot of all those who ran the trail, including the canines:
And I guess we should record that a number of down, downs were awarded this week - to Hugandkiss and Make an Offer (who got lost), to Shaggy (who forgot that last week's run began at 4), to Cadbury (who has not been living up to her hash name and has been indulging in a lot more than a glass and a half), to Payback (who'd forgotten to bring the wine)...and finally, to Shockjock (who'd attempted last week to start a conflagration that might have swept across the whole of Moreton Island.)
It's our Easter Egg run this coming Sunday!
