This Sunday's Samford Downs run/walk saw us sauntering from the golf course to the Showgrounds along back routes and byways. These were paths that hadn't echoed to cries of "On, on!" for many years. According to legend a former hare once led the pack right through one of the houses we passed (it was open for inspection at the time.)
The runners' route then took them up a 45 degree slope and over the range into a peacock-infested region of the Cedar Creek valley. A white knight had to rescue some of them from these savage beasts, and to give them a lift back home before darkness fell....
We welcomed one visitor from Colombia, and another who is an ultra-marathoner (a bit daunting, that!)
Thanks, hares! A great run, and great nosh!
Here are some bits of the chilly circle:
Shockjock presented Upfront and Slammit with a stilt each - and once we'd learnt the Sesame Street lesson about having to share, everyone had to have a go (Jack wasn't much good):
The day before (Saturday) a few Hash members strolled up from Christmas Creek to the Stinson wreck on the Mcpherson Ranges. Here are a few shots.
The creek crossing (only two wet feet in all):

The Stinson campsite, just above the wreck:
