French dressing

Lots of red, blue and white among the group that took French leave and gathered at Newmarket this Sunday to celebrate the French national day. Some green too - to celebrate frogs?

But Eweshggr had to be the star for his extraordinarily authentic costume - striped jumper, beret and white flag. What could he be but French? And Redbreast donned an extremely skimpy French maid's outfit as well...wasn't she cold?

It was a revolutionary walk/run - in the sense that we did go round in a big circle. The route was over some new territory and the Banks St reserve was a bit of a surprise to some (you don't expect to find an area of bushland like this so close to the city centre.) Half way round we crossed paths with a Brisbane Hash run set for the next day - proof perhaps that this was Real Hashing country....

A French menu accompanied some authentic French cuisine at the on, on.
