The sun was out, spring was in the air, and the lakes and river were shining in the afternoon light this Sunday. A very scenic circuit, with plenty to look at, and some engaging botany and ornithology along the way....
The trail markings were plentiful and especially neat: it looked almost as though someone very used to wielding a piece of chalk had made them:
Back at the hares' we enjoyed a feast with a variety of first courses and a decadent dessert. Many thanks to Miss Behavin' and Budgie and Nipper! This year's award for the best Dad joke went to Budgie. It had something to do with old-age forgetfulness, but I can't remember what....
