Borumba glamping

We've had several memorable Hash weekends away over the years, and our latest one at Borumba Deer Park is a worthy addition to the list. What fun we had! And if a picture is worth 1000 words, then read on for several thousand words-worth of images from a number of cameras. Here we are firstly, paddling on Yabba Creek....

Unfortunately no-one captured Haughty's improbable capsize, but Upstanding gave a good demonstration of the right way to fall off a stand-up board:

Of course he's a master of the upright stance, but Payback and Prattle were also impressive in their bipedalism:

Saturday afternoon saw us tackling the Brooloo-Imbil Rail Trail. Hopeful walkers awaited the next train, but to no avail:

And Upstanding released his Inner Railwayman:

Congratulations to Le W*nk, who managed the 8.8 km run despite having soloed the 8.8 km return run to Borumba Dam that morning! 17.6 km in a day! Here we are after the run and walk, replenishing our internal fluid levels at the Imbil pub:

BBQ feast on Saturday evening:

There was birthday cake and a birthday snog for Cadbury...it was great to catch up with her and Shaggy, all the way from Hervey Bay:

Some really healthy lunches:

And some happy campers:

Thanks particularly to Strine for the work she put into organising us - thanks to those who loaned their watercraft - thanks for your all contributions - and thanks to everyone for their company, their humour and their good-fellowship! A great weekend in a beaut spot!

Next run/walk details (Superhacker's Farewell - a sad occasion indeed)

When: Sunday 13th February, 5 pm

Where: John Scott Park, Samford Village - after at the Samford Pub

Hares: Haughty will set a trail, but doesn't necessarily expect anyone to follow it. Catering will be by Samford Pub. Culture has booked tables for all who have told her they are coming, and we are expecting just under 40 people.

You might like to bring a change of clothes.

On, on!
