Beside the seaside, beside the sea

It's been a while since we strolled along the prom, prom, prom at the Redcliffe Peninsula, and a stiff sea breeze was waiting to greet us as we arrived. Despite this, it was a very pleasant afternoon to enjoy some waterfront views and indulge in some real estate envy.... Strangely enough, given the amount of flour our hares put down, the runners still managed to lose their route - and had to sniff the air for salt-spray to find their way home. Many thanks to our newbie hares, Dingaling and Shannan, for setting an interesting and scenic trail!

Back at the start we formed a wide circle to enjoy our Covid-safe BYO food and drink. Hash jeweler Jamesbondage had produced a name necklace for Dingaling, and this was presented before the keen tennis fans hurried home to catch the men's final at the AO.

Last Wednesday morning four hash runners and their supporters (and designated drivers) met for the 2022 Dayboro Beer Mile:

Here's the first of four down, downs (each comprising at least 355 ml of 5% beer, and each followed by a 400m circuit):

And here are our runners at the end:

Banger and Make an Offer kindly hosted a Big Breakfast afterwards - many thanks! It was fun and we'll do it again - we need to get in some more down, down practice though!

Many of us will be on a Hash-weekend-away in Imbil next Sunday. Stayathomes who wish to may meet up at John Scott Park at the usual time for a M. Promptu and BYO run/walk. Superhacker's farewell run/walk follows on the Sunday after - and we're expecting some 40 people to turn up.

Next run/walk details

When: Sunday 6th February

Where: For those away, as arranged at Imbil. For stayathomes - John Scott Park, Samford Village

Hares: At Imbil - as arranged. In Samford - M. Promptu and BYO.

On, on!
