Idiot-drought broken!

Every village needs its idiots, and those who care about such things must have been getting a bit worried over the last few weeks. What had happened to a number of the idiots who yell "On, on!" on Sunday afternoons? Well, some had gone interstate, some overseas, and some had simply gone AWOL. But the first of our 2017-18 summertime runs saw the idiot-drought broken and a goodly crowd assemble at John Scott Park. And - surprise, surprise - we all got the start time right!

Our hare Floater took us along some byways and through some backwoods we haven't seen for quite a while. It was good to head off in these various unfamiliar directions - and some of the walkers headed off in some even more varied and unfamiliar directions on the way back....Tuna bake, salad and cup cakes followed. Thanks, Madam Hare!

Mile High and Hugandkiss have been keeping up what has become a bit of a Hash tradition - walking the Camino. They both described it as "unforgettable", and Mile High also summed it up as "a very long hash, with Mass as well as beer to follow." They went on to celebrate Hugandkiss's birthday in Morocco - wow! Here are a few of their pics:

Another bunch of hashers had headed off to Northern NSW and some are still there. Here are some of Eweshggr's pics from this excursion:

And Haughty and Culture returned from Greece with tales of having tramped the hills of Ios and Paros and the clifftops of Santorini. But they found the best walking in the hills of Arcadia where they followed the Menalon Trail down into the Lousios River gorge and back up again. Very scenic, but quite a climb.
