Fit for a king

Midwinter is traditionally a time for feasting and Potluck traditionally supplies a banquet. It happened again this last Sunday when we enjoyed a hugely varied spread which included 2 types of soup, seafood, pasta, salad and a vast array of other delicious gastronomic delicacies. Thanks, Potluck, for another really successful meal!

The walkers preceded this with a stride around the village circuit, while the runners undertook an excursion past Echidna Corner and along the creek. There was just a tiny bite in the air to put a spring into our steps.

We welcomed Eweshggr, Mile High and Hugandkiss back from northern climes...where Mile High had enjoyed a close encounter with Johnny Depp in Cannes. Johnny agreed to join us for a run the next time he's in the Samford area, and to bring his dogs....Hugandkiss also contributed an addition to our Fathers' Day regalia - something that can make the recipient resemble, in a tiny way, Michelangelo's David:

Meanwhile Floater and Scratchit are still enjoying high summer along the Pilgrims' Way through Portugal. Here are a few of their scenic shots.
