Landmarks

Quite often, hashing takes you to places you'd always meant to explore but never got round to visiting.

Take the Bardon water tower, for instance.

Everyone knows where it is, but very few of us had stood in its shadow or checked out the views from its base. (They're expansive...expensive, too, no doubt, for those who live there.) It marked one point on the the run/walk where we know where we were. The intricately winding ways that made up the rest of this hilly route were quite baffling however...and well worth re-visiting sometime.

Many thanks to our hares for a really interesting and enjoyable run/walk - and some tremendously tasty curry as well!

We welcomed Escargot back home from her sojourn in the Low and Mother countries. Here she is with Superhacker in London. Note the purple Samford Hash shirts - and a landmark almost as well known as the Bardon water tower in the background....
