Blowing hot and cold
Toward the end of the trail this Sunday the cool change that the BOM had been predicting moved in, and conditions changed almost instantaneously. Before that it had been our hottest excursion of the year. It was windy too...and the wind was scorching...and the scorching wind was always against us...and there was a hill....And while we're on the subject, why don't supermarket trolleys ever steer straight? And why is the print in the new phone books so small? And why is the Oz rugby team doing so badly? And why do we have such a baa-aad gumment? And what's become of that crispy bacon we had before the war?
Thanks to our hares for taking us through yet more new territory in the heart of Samford - and for some yummy Hash Nosh!
The Samford Hash Seaside Camp on Bribie Island is coming up rapidly on November 9th - 11th. If you're planning to come, and haven't yet confirmed with Payback, please do so ASAP.
And here's another really important date claimer: Hash Christmas this year will be on Friday 14th December at Le W*nk's place in Sandgate. The theme is "On the beach". If you remember the Nevil Shute novel and the film, then you'll know that the menu is likely to include fission chips....
Finally - we'll be moving to a 5 pm start time from the 28th October. This will be our Halloween run, hosted by Jamesbondage and Redbreast. Start dusting off those witch's hats and smearing fake blood on those ghostly sheets!
