A load of rubbish...

(as usual). This Sunday was Clean Up Australia Day - and Samford Hash did its bit, picking up quite a few bagfulls on the walk and run. Our hares had set a challenging but really scenic trail that took us to the top of Camp Mountain and to sundry places thereabouts. They'd promised to organise some cooler weather this week and kept their promise - thanks for that!

At the on, on back at the hares' place one young gentleman baptised his new shoes in traditional fashion. We also held a naming ceremony for a new member - Junky. She's an avid collector, we hear (as well as an adrenaline fiend), so Clean Up Australia Day was very appropriate for her welcome into the Samford Hash family.

Friday evening saw many of us joining the beautiful and brilliant people who hang out at the Brisbane Powerhouse. We kept our heads down and I don't think we stuck out too much. We were there to enjoy Mel Buttle's gig...and to celebrate our own Buttle who provided so much of her material (hope he's on commission.) It was a great night.

A village run next week, with catering by Potluck (please bring something to share.)
