by the hares this week....It had rained earlier in the day, and it bucketed down while we were under shelter during the on, on - but the trail markings had not been washed away, and we had no rain during the run.
In organising this Urass, Bigtop and Hardcore did a lot better than anyone else has over the last several weeks....
It was a well-marked run, with plenty of checks and plenty of flour. Nevertheless some runners did manage to get mislaid en route - what trail were they following?
Hardcore had some significant items of news:
1. She did a 5km run last weekend in 21 minutes and is planning a sub-45 minute Corporate Games run!
2. She's bought a house, and is looking for a dog to chew up the yard and bring on runs!
Here's a little story:
Two Hash runners lose the trail and find themselves passing a pub. One is running with a doberman and the other with a chihuahua.
"Let's go in for a drink," the first suggests.
"But this pub won't let dogs in."
"Watch me!" says the first. He puts on a pair of dark glasses - and when he's challenged by the bouncer says "This is my guide dog." It works!
So the second runner puts on some dark glasses and tries it as well: "This is my guide dog."
The bouncer is unimpressed: "You have a chihuahua as a guide dog?"
"What!" says the second runner, "They gave me a chihuahua???"
