Homes Beautiful in Wilston; Tinkerbell left flat-footed; clueless runners; and a best-dressed award

Sunday saw us yobbos intruding on the quiet and classy gold-paved streets of Wilston. Every old house had been renovated or demolished, and every new one was spectacular. The trail markings had been washed out (twice, apparently) so while the walkers followed a live hare the runners picked their own uncertain path towards Kedron Brook and an even more uncertain path home again.

Snappy chose "Wilston lifestyle" as her photographic theme, and here are just a few of her shots capturing the essence of the scenery - marred just here and there by some walkers (and a hoarder):

Here's Idle Vice's pic of some walkers and a friend:

Back home in the hares' backyard we enjoyed a feast of a dozen healthy dishes (including some leftovers from Snappy's party), followed up by ice-creams. Many thanks to our hares (and Beermeisters) once again!

On Monday evening (it's that time of year) a dozen of us made our way along the Ferny Grove line to Southbank for the Red Dress Run. Mile High and Hugandkiss, our usual Best Dressers, were away, but the rest of us made a pretty reasonable show of it. Payback had a new dress, and Upstanding's flapper headgear was very fetching. Snappy was adjudged the Best Dressed Female out of all those present!

Tinkerbell's foot had been run over while he was setting the run (apparently he'll be OK after a stint in a cast). This accident, and some over-zealous cleaning staff at the Casino, left the runners with no markings to follow mid-way though the run. Once again they had to pick their own path, but led by Miss Demeanour, eventually found themselves back on trail to the drink-and-cake stop by the river.

Our next big event is of course the Hash Christmas party on Saturday. "Heros" and "Villains" - what can we expect?

Next run/walk details
When: Sunday 8th December, 5 pm (Recovery run following Hash Christmas)
Where: John Scott Park, Samford Village
Hares: M. Promptu will set the route. We'll adjourn to a neighbouring hostelry afterwards.

On, on!
