Babe in the wood

TF caused a bit of concern this last Sunday when she missed a turning on the trail and was still missing after most of us had made our way to the hares' place. By "concern" I mean that a few people wondered where she'd got to as they sipped their beers and munched on chips. Someone proposed a search party but the majority view was that this would be going a bit too far. Anyway it turned out that she was, in Paddy Palin's words, "Never truly lost" - she'd just forgotten the length of her chosen route home.

The rain this year has meant that the Clear Mountain woodlands have never looked so green and lush. They provided some very scenic running and walking routes, which were as amazingly flat as usual....How do our hares manage to avoid all the inclines you might expect in this area?

Pics this week come courtesy of Snappy. The group gathering in the late afternoon sunlight:

Walkers discuss TF's absence, and decide to leave her to her fate, as the runners come panting in:

There were some excellent jokes in the circle this week....Thanks to our hares, the beermeisters, and the winos!
