First winter wander

Shaggy has just landed in Minneapolis, where it's snowing. And Charcoal and Strine have been enjoying some picture-postcard spring weather in Essex and Shropshire:

And in Samford?

Well, we can argue about the date of winter till the solstices come home - but for Samford Hash there are only 2 seasons. There's a 4 pm season we call "winter", and a 5 pm season we call "summer". And the Samford Hash winter began this Sunday on a very pleasant sunny and temperate afternoon....

Walkers and runners both followed M. Promptu around familiar trails from John Scott Park, returning to enjoy a traditional lavish Potluck feast. Thanks to all for their contributions.

Leave Pass has proposed revising a winter tradition of taking part in a feast of operatic culture at Jimbour House as part of a weekend at the Bunyas. We first did this in 2007! Opera at Jimbour is on the 27th July this year. Please check your diaries and we'll discuss this further.
