Land of f****ing rain

The land of flooding rain did its thing again this last Sunday - so much so that the hares were prevented from making it to their own run! Despite the Council having upgraded the Cedar Creek causeways, at 4 pm Culture and Haughty were still trapped behind a flooded floodway with a tree trunk lodged across it.

But the 9 Samford hashers (7 human, 2 canine) who turned up in the heavy rain were not deterred. They set out beneath some serious umbrellas, and returned to enjoy a glass or two under the downpour. There were no drink stops along the route (and no need for them) but a kindly local had set out some free citrus fruit on the footpath for anyone feeling a bit faint.

There's evidence of a bit of water on the lens in these shots:

Congratulations to the brave souls who kept up the tradition...Samford hashers run and walk in all sorts of weathers!
