Crampons, carabiners and pitons, anyone?

Crampons, carabiners and pitons would all have been useful this last Sunday at Mt. Coot-tha. This had to be one of our steepest excursions ever - particularly the route the runners took down towards Chapel Hill...and then back up again to the summit. Many thanks to Le W*nk for introducing us to some virgin territory for Samford Hash - and we really might bring some ropes next time.

Our hare laid on some gourmet sarnies to follow - salmon, tuna, avocado and what-not - and we then queued for some gourmet ice-cream cones. Just the thing for a really cool, even cold, evening on the summit! Well done, George - oh, and Le W*nk too.

We welcomed Gastrick back from the UK and France. He claimed that he'd not run much while he was away. It didn't look like it, though, as he led the pack up the mountain!

Finally, Escargot is raising money for the Smith Family as she runs the Bridge to Brisbane in a couple of weeks. Do you recognise the source of the photo on her fundraising page? Give up? Here it is!
