There and back again

Remember the story of The Hobbit or There and Back Again? A bunch of odd folk set off through the wilds to a cave with some gold in it, and then head back home again. This week's run/walk was a bit like this, except that there was no dragon in the cave - and no gold either. Nor was the country all that wild. Come to think of it, it wasn't very similar to The Hobbit at all....

We did welcome back some real travelers from the wild this Sunday. The bulk of the Warrumbunglers returned and regaled us with tales of intense heat and smuggled pooches (ask them.) And this coming Sunday we'll be venturing with some trepidation into the Unknown - the wild tracts of land that stretch out south of the Brisbane River. Survivors who have returned from these regions bring back strange tales. Do you dare to join us?

A while back we featured a gallery of Hash injuries. There was a goodly collection of new ones to show off this week:

Finally, our 1200th run is coming up on the 20th April! This is a Big Event - like our 1000th run in 2010, and our 21st Birthday run in 2012.  Try to keep your diary clear....
