A flesh wound and a flash event

One of our hares attempted to amputate her leg at the knee while setting the run this last weekend. She should have known that you need more than a jagged piece of metal to get through all those tendons and bones. In the end all she managed was a rather deep slice.

So - several stitches later - the hares were still able to treat us to a really interesting run/walk which showed off the one or two flat areas on their block before taking us to the crest at Jolly's Lookout. Here we were able to enjoy an extensive view of the bushfire smoke that blanketed SE Queensland this weekend.

Back at the hare's eyrie (I know, it's a zoological conundrum) we watched the lights of Brisbane emerge as evening fell and the smoke gradually sank with it. What a view from their deck as we demolished some great pasta and salad! Thanks, hares!

Something special this coming Sunday - the Samford Hash Oktoberfest! Charcoal and Strine will be opening their Munich beerhall for the hordes and we are looking forward to some authentic fare, some great beers, and the sight of Charcoal's lederhosen....

Note that to accommodate the festivities, the run this week will start at the special time of 3:30 pm - and that you really need to let us know that you are coming if you haven't already done so.

I hope to see us attempt this little dance number at the on, on:

Next run details
