Caught out - again and again and again....

Le W*nk's brilliant trail for the runners was packed full of checks and falsies, and caught them out again and again - they ran every one, beginning a couple of hundred metres from the start, and finishing a couple of hundred metres from the end, when they were tricked twice in quick succession. In between, they missed a mark as they entered the Bunyaville State Forest and persisted in going the wrong way, led by Haughty who thought he knew a short cut. What a joke...instead of the Jinker Track, they ended up on Dugandan Road! Congratulations to Le W*nk - it was a real hash trail, and despite their curses, the runners really enjoyed it.

Both runners and walkers' trails had been set the day before and washed out. Lax re-set the walkers' one as a live hare, and made sure that no-one could possibly get lost:

Back home we enjoyed some rib-filling pasta served from the back of the van, followed up by chocolate dessert - as the rain began to fall again. Le W*nk once again nominated three people for down, downs - and received one himself for his over-achievements in setting the runners' trail. Many, many thanks to our hares - well done!

In reviewing this week's pictures, one is struck by what a handsome lot we are - especially Shockjock! (Thanks to Make an Offer for this shot.)

Now, on a sadder note, this week saw us farewelling another much loved Hash dog, Mollie. She was six when she first came to live with Mile High and Hugandkiss, and on her first hash walk she had to be carried for much of the way. She obviously hadn't done much walking previously...but she soon got into it and became a regular. Besides hashing, she also became a page three girl in the local paper, and starred in some SPADEwerx productions - as a zombie hound, a "Wild Beast", and Madame Arcati's companion in "Blithe Spirit". Here are some words from Hugandkiss and Mile High, followed by some photos from happier times.

"Today we had to say our final goodbye to our gorgeous little Star🌟Mollie.

We had to let her go.

Trusting it was her time was huge.

She passed peacefully this morning.

She was 16 years and 3 months.

Mollie was such an enormous part of our life it is difficult to imagine life without her.

We feel like we have lost part of ourselves.

We are comforted by the wonderful life she lived and the many people who loved her.

We have beautiful memories of her and so many gorgeous pictures of her.

There will be a bright new Star🌟in the sky tonight. RIP Gorgeous Mollie"
