A whole bunch of folks spent last weekend away at Noosa Habitat, and had a great time! Here are some quotes from Payback's essay entitled "What we did on our holiday":
" Upstanding lost his van awning after leaving the highway. He heard a bang but thought nothing of it. Some time later, Shockjock came across it lying beside the road and loaded it into his car. When he and Miss Demeanour arrived at the Habitat, he mentioned his great find. Upstanding piped up: ‘Hey that’s my awning’. [Do we believe him?]
- The weather was bad on the Friday. Shockjock had to tie his tent to a tree, so it wouldn’t blow away.
- Le Wank and Lax stayed in the glamping tents as they did not want to mix with the peasants. [Quite understandable.]
- At Pomona the group visited the markets and had lunch at the gin distillery. Fizzer came up for the day but wasn't allowed to sit next to Le Wank at the distillery because of what happened at one Christmas party. [Banger also has to bear some of the blame for what happened on that occasion.]
- Most people did some kayaking. Footsie was reluctant, as she had never done it before. She seemed concerned about drowning in the knee deep water or being attacked by ferocious bull sharks. In the end she couldn’t be kept out of the water.
- The major drama on this trip was that Snappy couldn’t find her bottle of champagne - she was distraught!"
Here are a few mementos from the weekend. I'm sure more will follow in future weeks.
The small group of seven Stayathomes enjoyed a scamper around Samford Village and some BYO drinks and eats. Fortunately some people at the next door picnic table had a bottle opener they were willing to lend....
We occasionally feature hash injuries in these posts, and back in 2019 we featured some links to a number of them (check them out here). This week we have a couple of pics to add to the files and gross you out - courtesy of Floater's close encounter with Mother Earth on the Bunyaville Parkrun. Ow, indeed. At least she didn't get blood on her Hash shirt.
