It seems almost impossible to believe, but (as Superhacker reminded us) a year ago we still thought we'd be going to Interhash in Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, a year ago the group that gathered at Culture's cultured inner-city run recorded a T&T promo video on behalf of Australia! You'll find it in the archives here....
This last Sunday we were about as far as we could get from the inner city - in the lush green valley setting of Dayboro. Our hares took us on a flattish circuit that provided views in all directions, and Snappy did her best to do them justice. Here's Escargot turning back for another look (you're going the wrong way!)
And here are some more shots taken en route:
A momentous event at the Dayboro showgrounds - Pablo obeying an instruction to sit:
Back at the hares' we enjoyed some absolutely spiffing and delicious Thai curry, followed by some great banana bread produced by master-baker Banger. Great run, terrific food - many thanks, guys!
A down, down for Leave Pass for changing out of his new shoes before the circle:
Our reminder last week to wear name necklaces was heeded by some, but alas not by all. Good boy Shockjock and good girl Miss Demeanour were eager to record their compliance:
Meanwhile, a number of our regulars were away camping it up. Here's an atmospheric image by Redbreast of a thunderstorm rolling in from the Gold Coast towards Binna Burra:
