Congratulations to Feral!

Feral set her first walk on Sunday and did a great job, though the rain did its best to spoil things. She also received a loud standing ovation for hushing Le W*nk while she was delivering her Chalk Talk - not an easy thing to achieve - well done! Here she is with Violet (and, no, there is no "n" in that name.)

The route took us through the byways and back blocks of Ferny Hills. Shockjock remarked on the run that though he'd lived in the general area for much of his life, there were sections of the route that were totally unfamiliar to him...it's always good to explore new territory. The large crowd back at the hares' did full justice to the fare on offer. Many thanks, hares!

Down, downs were awarded to Glutes (his final run on this visit to Australia - he's back to some comparatively freezing conditions in Dunedin), to Feral (first time as a hare), and to Shaggy and Miss Demeanour for some obscure incident on the walk that we probably don't need to delve into any further.

Next week's hare Banger had just spent 3 days in hospital having sliced himself open on a ceramic tile (we reckon he should sue his employer for not providing safe working conditions.) He undergoes more treatment this week, but he assures us that he should be right to set the run on Sunday.

And - an important note for next Sunday - you will need to bring your own one of these!
