Da da-da da da da daaa da-da

Once again we erected the guillotine at Mt. Nebo for our Bastille Day run, and celebrated all things French - French doors, French leave, French maids, French knickers and French letters included.

Eweshggr ("Mouton Baise") incorporated some long and arduous check-backs into the trail, in celebration of that great event in French military history, the 1812 retreat from Moscow. And some of the walkers celebrated French military discipline by ignoring quite obvious arrows and making up their own route....

Escargot provided a rib-filling pot-au-feu feast as we warmed up in her cozy chateau, and we attempted the English version of the Marseillaise (you know - the words go "Da da-da da da da daaa da-da....")

Thanks to Escargot, Eweshggr, and also to B&W who stepped in to help set the run after Eweshggr was unexpectedly called away to Scotland.
