Le W*nk led two visiting German runners astray during our city excursion this Sunday. They went AWOL halfway through the run - trainspotting at Roma Street, evidently, and then scattering the shoppers down the length of Queen Street. We spent some time searching for them before giving up. The worry was not that the tourists were relatively new to Brisbane, but that they were relying on Le W*nk to get them home....
The walkers also strayed a bit from The Way. They were talking as usual and so missed a (clearly marked) turn near the start. And they were halfway to Bulimba before someone noticed they'd run out of arrows. Specs, anyone?
It was good to welcome back Jamesbondage and Redbreast, who had some great travellers' tales to relate. Contrary to expectations, they saw 2 dalmation dogs in Dalmatia! They stayed in one of the world's top 5 hotels in Venice! But Jamesbondage must be getting old - he was finding it difficult to down more than 6 or 7 one-litre steins per sitting in Germany....
