- Well (begab) it was a memorably rocky (and hilly) run - and it ended with some memorable steaming vats of "Dublin Coddle". Great tucker - here's a recipe.

Many thanks indeed to Jamesbondage and Redbreast. Their trail was so cleverly laid that this old blogger ran up every falsie. You'd think I'd have learnt to recognise them by now....

The Tuesday run is still very popular - there were a dozen of us last week, taking over the public bar as we replenished our precious bodily fluids.

And here's a Dublin joke:

There's a conference of beer manufacturers in Dublin, with the top men from all round the world attending. At the end of the day they gather at the bar for a drink.

Mr. Budweiser orders a Bud, Mr. Stein orders a Stein lager, Mr. Corona orders a Corona, and so on. Finally they get to Mr. Guinness - and he orders a Coke.

The others are astonished. "You're in Dublin! Why aren't you drinking Guinness?"

"Well," he says, "if no-one else is drinking beer, I won't either."

A very pleasant ramble...

round the village and over the hills was followed by cheese, chook, chocolate and salad this last Sunday. Thanks to all who contributed!

B&W brought along what he thought were the dregs of a keg. In fact there was enough left in it for most blokes to hand their car keys to their partners for the trip home....

It was nice to see Floater and Scratchit again. She has an exhibition currently running at the Arana Hills Library - so if you're passing, drop in for a gander at her artwork.
