Rain had been predicted earlier in the week but didn't arrive. So we were able to admire the beautiful conjunction of the moon and evening star - or, if you want to be mythological - the goddesses Diana and Venus, or Artemis and Aphrodite, in the western sky. The best of photos can't do it justice:
Back in the park we enjoyed lasagna, salad, chocolate, and a wide ranging discussion of issues like the state of the Kingaroy bike trail, past experiences in the Bunya mountains, and whether Penfold's Grange really is worth over $1000 a bottle....There was a lot of sympathy for Miss Demeanour, who was in the ED at the Royal Brisbane rather than at Hash. Get well soon, please - we missed you!
