Ducks, pelicans and black swans crowded the waterways we passed this Sunday, and some of the swans let Cash Converta get very close and personal:
It was a smashing afternoon for a run and walk through the burbs and along river- and lake-sides, and the many dogs enjoyed themselves immensely, despite being restrained from chasing the wildlife. They also enjoyed a refreshing little historical re-enactment of the Battle of Hastings in the back yard after we got back.
It was good to see Streaky again for the first time in a while, and good to meet Close Encounters of the Turd Kind, visiting from Washington DC. His home kennel is the Every Day is Wednesday Hash, and they run on Thursdays (of course).
Back home at the hares' we enjoyed some great pasta and salad, followed by ice-cream! Many thanks to Budgie and Miss Behavin'! Since this was our May Day run, we also raised our voices (and our fists) to the stirring strains of The Red Flag! This song is now 137 years old - happy birthday to it. And happy birthday to anyone else celebrating this week!
