Start of the winter start times

We decided last week that our Sunday runs would move to 4 pm repeat 4 pm from next Sunday (14th March).

It's true that the equinox is not for another week after that. But the days are drawing in noticeably (the overcast rainy conditions haven't helped), and the last walkers on last Sunday's event could have done with some night vision equipment to help them home.

I predict that some will forget and turn up at 5 - a down, down for them!

A memorable run this last Sunday courtesy of Shockjock, Miss Demeanour and Chinwag. The carpark we started from - and quite a lot of the track - had been a metre under water a few days before. We definitely did not suffer from a deficit of mud....

There was no deficit of gourmet tucker at the on, on either. The meal featured homemade pretzels and kraut along with "Chardonnay and French herb" and "Spicy Italian" sausages. Tasty!

The hares share a pretzel:

Chinwag - awarded a down, down for deliberately sending walkers down a false trail!

The tour of Shockjock's new coldroom. The nagging question - is it big enough for his beer?

Sunday roast - wow!

Our virgin hares this Sunday laid on a grand tour de Kedron Brook and followed it up with a magnificent roast dinner. This will be a hard act for anyone to follow....Congratulations and thanks to them!

A number of regulars were away (down the coast, down in Byron Bay and across the Tasman) but 21 humans and 2 dogs turned up to welcome Kamikaze from Perth - and to honour his new shoes. Some Samford Hash members even had to be evacuated from Coochimudlo on Saturday night in order to make it to the run.

Plans are well in train for the Stanthorpe Stagger in April. Here's a summit shot proving that Culture did once make it to the top of Mt Norman - and didn't break her bottle of red wine either.

And for those who like a touch of the grisly, here's a shot of Haughty's elbow after The Fall last weekend:
