The Full Monty

There'd been a couple of downpours earlier on Sunday afternoon, which gave our hares the chance to trot out the hoary old excuse that the rain had washed out both chalk and flour. To be fair, we did see a few dollops of flour on the run...and (wouldn't you know it!), the best preserved just happened to be on a false trail that only Gastrick the FRB explored.

Runners and walkers gathered under the carport at the end, wondering idly what had happened to Culture and Hugandkiss. It turned out that they'd been talking so intensely they'd wandered completely off the trail and into a gully full of impenetrable vegetation. Molly guided them out.

A tasty dish of pasta and a memorable salad regaled the troops. Luckily we had all finished eating by the time George responded to cries of "Take it off!" and Revealed All.

While the cat's away

...the mice can play. And the Samford Hash mice knew how to make themselves at home while Shockjock, Miss Demeanour and Co. were away.

The coldroom was obviously particularly attractive to these vermin:

And what were these fellas doing in the pool?

Once again, it was a brilliant afternoon for a walk/run in the bush, though the trails don't get any flatter as time goes on. The runners looped over into the upper reaches of Ferny Hills, while the walkers are not quite sure where they went.... Potluck shone as usual as a chef, and the varied and plentiful grub vanished at an astonishing rate. It was all triffic, but Make an Offer's apple pie does deserve special mention! Thanks to all.
