Ups and downs

It was hard going on Sunday, what with the endless hill climbs and loose tracks. Well done to those who did the whole trail and to James Bondage for doing it twice, Hope you all were not too sore on Monday morning.

There was a bit of drama. As night fell, four souls had not returned. Some suggested that we go search for them, after we had eaten. But we need not have worried, as they were in the safe hands of James Bondage.

As usual, Redbreast provided a sumptuous meal. We forgot our aches and pains as we hoed into tender chicken legs with mustard source, baked pumpkin, followed by coconut cakes. We were not sure if  Redbreast had snuck in Le W'ank's favourite food - choko.

Here are some snaps taken by Cashconverta, Redbreast, Saucy Sous and Skippy:

Amazing space

It's been a long and massive project, but the impressive results are really starting to show. Only those who'd seen the "before" state of Lax and Le W*nk's renovated forever home could fully appreciate the immense transformation that has taken place - and there's more to come...an extension, a new driveway, marble on the patio floor, a boundary wall, etc., etc! We'll have a chance to gawp at the finished result when our hares host this year's Hash Christmas party (wonder which bits of the house we'll be allowed into then?). Congratulations to them both!

Runners and walkers set off in opposite directions on some well-marked trails. Runners headed into the woods along a lot of winding and confusing paths, with plenty of falsies and lots of opportunities to get lost. None of them did. The walkers tended to stay amongst the houses. Did any of them get lost? Well - let's just say that it was lucky for a couple of them that they met a nice young man who let them use his phone. What he wanted in return we'll never know....

Back home we enjoyed a very tasty beef bourguignon (and vegetarian alternative) followed by "home-made" cake. The new kitchen can certainly produce good food! Many, many thanks to our hares - good walk, good run, great meal!

We welcomed back Snappy after her absolutely epic time away! And Streaky paid us a visit as well.
