Sunday's trail at the Mill Water Park was quite a surprise. The path along the North Pine River and around the lake was quite scenic. And the Matilda clone brought back happy memories.

Thanks to Make an Offer and Banger for a banging barbecue.

Good to see newbies Donna and Richard. Hope we didn't scare them off.

Quiet time

We hadn't been to Undambi Rotary Reserve for while, so we revisited old times along the trail beside the idyllic section of the South Pine River.

That part of the river is rumoured to have resident platypuses. To see them you need to be quiet, but this was impossible for the raucous Samford Hashers.

For those who are going on the Kingaroy bike ride, there will be an email coming out soon about the accommodation.

Fleeting moment

It was a bit windy on Sunday, but after finishing the trail we congregated on the sheltered side of the Farmers Hall. After settling down with a drink or two, our hares Haughty and Culture provided a variety of tasty pizzas for the hungry throng.

Good to see Haughty and Culture after a long absence. It was a fleeting moment though, as they were due to fly off to South Africa early next morning. Lax and Le W*nk are already there on safari and appear to have ticked off their top five bucket list  Closer to home, Kermit is in the Solomon Islands doing good deeds.

Old times

We expected to be huffing and puffing on Sunday's Everton Hills trail. However, Floater took pity on us and laid a relatively painless trail.

Afterwards, Floater treated us to a vegetarian meal which included many ingredients from her garden. To top it off, she spoilt us with some divine home made bread.

A bit of nostalgia - this photo was taken in 2011 at Clear Mountain. We haven't changed a bit!

Do blondes have more fun?

Another glorious afternoon at our home ground - John Scott Park. Numbers were still down due to our absentee intrepid nomads and others involved with the Spadewerx latest production, Nothing To See Here.

Away

 

A small group of hashers met at Upper Kedron on Sunday. Numbers will be down for the next few weeks, as some are traversing this great country or overseas.

Luckily the rain held off, as we embarked on a trail to Bell Bird Grove. There were no runners, so the gold mines were left to explore another day.

Thanks to our hares Leave Pass and Snappy for providing a feast of pizzas and delicious salads.
