Warner wander

Our hares had set us a varied trail through the burbs and a pretty little bit of bush. People assured this old blogger that we had been there before, but it all seemed new to me. Funny - according to the latest Catalyst program, running is meant to improve your memory....Pasta and quiche (for the unreal men among us) followed. Thanks, hares!

Hashers had been pretty busy over a beautiful weekend. Culture looked as fresh as a daisy after completing the 10 km Bridge to Brisbane (and coming in 7th in her age group.) Shockjock turned up to the run in the red 1973 E-type Jag that he had been navigating around a classic car rally route (swank!) On the day before he'd navigated Payback, Gastrick, Nipliquor, Haughty and others on a very pleasant mountain bike ride around Bunya. Meanwhile Le W*nk was celebrating some sort of...rugby game, was it? Is that right?

Our intrepid caravaners Charcoal, Strine and Eweshggr have made it across the Nullabor and are investigating the WA goldfields. They are still finding some excellent free camp sites, which is good considering the prices they have had to pay for alcohol and fresh produce. Here are a few shots from their trip.

Inside the York Hotel. No wonder the alcohol costs so much:

Each truckload contains only 1 oz of gold - can that be right?

The ANZ branch is even smaller:

It's our annual Fathers' Day Run next week. Come and enjoy another glorious Dayboro sunset....You will find reminders of our last few Dads' Day events here and here and here (oh, and here and here and here too.)
