Maaaate! Maaaate! Maaaate!

Twenty-something maaaates gathered on yet another really hot afternoon of a record-breaking summer for our 2019 Oz Day excursion. Some flags fluttered as usual, and one of our hares sported an Aeroguard alternative on her head and a dingo-waddy in her hand. She assured us that both were really effective (we didn't ask Dingo what he thought.)

Thankfully both runners' and walkers' routes were shady and there was a pleasant breeze. We returned to our starting point where Leave Pass was joined by all his friends.

Getting people to bring their own chairs is obviously one way of getting them to form a real circle.

Eweshggr is starting to show the influence of hob-nobbing with the caravan club crew....

A traditional main course of corned beef and salad was followed by lamingtons...all very tasty. Many thanks, hares, for a great walk/run and meal on a really hot Oz Day!

Cadbury was awarded a down, down for being closely related to a winner of an OAM...congratulations to her mum!

Next Sunday Feral will be setting her first walk - woohoo! She was one of the stars of this year's SPADEwerx panto, but I missed posting her picture last week. Here she is as Fancy Nancy the drummer and stylist extraordinaire! - I wonder if she'll be wearing something different on Sunday?
