Terra incognita

Our hares this Sunday led us once more into some terra incognita. It's amazing, really, how much unexplored territory there is within a reasonable radius of Samford Central...and it's always interesting to go somewhere new. It's true that here and there we did touch on the odd spot that looked familiar - but for most of the time most of us had no idea where we were. Some very tasty chili with appropriate accompaniments followed. Thanks to our hares - and our best wishes to Shockjock as he adopts his new regime of treatment for (WARNING: swearword to follow) plantar fasciitis.

Some of us had been to the Robotronica exhibition at QUT earlier in the day. The 3-D goggles with their panorama of a fantasy Brisbane were a real hit. (You can get your own copy of the app here.)

Haughty celebrated a birthday with a cake that welcomed him into the Age of Dinosaurs:

And Hopalong could never get lost in the dark with these fluoro nails:

Here, courtesy of Payback, are some shots from last week's trip up (and down - oh, and then up) Mt. Coot-tha. The camera doesn't do justice to the slope (or the calf pain):
