Rain and shine

It was wet; it was freezing cold; the wind whipped raindrops into our faces...at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon. By 4 o'clock however, it was calm; the dark clouds had cleared; and those hashers who had not decided to stay home by the fire enjoyed some lovely warm late afternoon sunshine and an equally lovely sunset. As the old slogan had it: "Beautiful one day, perfect the next." Here are some photos to show the wimps what they missed....

A shining puddle at Ironbark Gully was the only indication of what conditions had been like a couple of hours before:


Ducks, native hens, pelicans and lots of the human and doggy locals were out enjoying the sunset at Warner Lakes:





And a couple of international supermodels showed up to show off our new shirts:


Next week marks the winter solstice, though this year we'll celebrate the saturnalia when our whole group can get together on the 12th of July.
